This beanbag weighs almost 2 pounds, just heavy enough to make sure your electronic device stay at the same place despite of sudden or abrupt maneuvering. We tested it in various sedans and sports cars and found our beanbag mount very stable and works great. This is a must for California and Minnesota drivers where state laws prohibit the use of windshield suction cup mount. Please note this beanbag mount requires the use of a fixed marine, dashboard or suction cup pedestal (such as Gilsson Universal Suction Cup Mount and Universal Holder), so your existing fixed marine, dashboard or suction cup pedestal can be secured to the detachable plate on our beanbag mount base. This is portable mount is also great, because it does not leave any ugly adhesive residues on your dashboard and allows you to hide the GPS from thieves when exiting your vehicle.
